Teens on trial for alleged role in beheading of teacher who showed Islamic cartoon
Six teenagers are going on trial in Paris for their alleged involvement in the beheading of a teacher who showed caricatures of the Prophet Muhammad to his class.
Among the defendants is a teenage girl who falsely accused the teacher of asking Muslim students to leave the classroom before showing the cartoons.
The trial is expected to last until December 8, and eight other adults will also be sent to trial later. [ more ]
